Musicboard Berlin is pleased to inform that the online application procedure for the Special Call for Concepts for Pop Music Projects has just been activated.
Until July 13, 2020, the application for the Special Call for Concepts is possible for Berlin pop-music projects that can take place under the current conditions, that test innovative approaches to the current music-cultural challenges or that deal with the effects of the Corona crisis on their own work processes and the Berlin music scene.
Types of projects could, for instance, be small open-air events in compliance with distance regulations, the elaboration of a study (e.g. by means of a survey) or the development (and/or implementation) of new digital concepts.
The Special Call for Concepts is aimed at players in the Berlin pop music scene (e.g. organizers, collectives, venues) who support Berlin pop musicians and in particular up-and-coming artists through their project. With the term ‘pop music’ Musicboard refers to all genres of popular music as well as cross-genre or experimental pop music that cannot be clearly assigned to the categories of jazz or classical and new music.
We are looking forward to receiving creative and innovative applications, which not only reflect the diversity of Berlin’s music scene, but also explicitly focus on the promotion of women* and PoC in pop culture, the strengthening of the LGBTQI+ scene, as well as accessibility and inclusion.
