Short information about the jury members can be found here. We would like to thank the previous jury members Andrea Wünsche, Anja Caspary, Detlef Diederichsen and Jens Uthoff for their good and constructive jury work over the past years.
APPLICATION DEADLINE & ADJUSTMENTS
Up until the application deadline on November 1, 2020, organizers of Berlin pop music festivals, especially those who focus on up-and-coming talent in music, can apply for the Festival Funding program. Projects and platforms that support up-and-coming talent through a series of concerts, workshops or interdisciplinary formats in order to facilitate significant leaps towards a professional, national and international career can apply for the program Karrieresprungbrett Berlin. Projects that make a contribution towards the acceptance of live pop music in a particular Berlin neighbourhood can apply for the Pop im Kiez funding program. This can be realized by means of pilot projects, a campaign or a series of interventions. Please note that the future situation in 2021 can currently not be assessed. We therefore recommend that projects are designed in such a way that they could also be implemented under corona conditions, for example digitally.
We are looking forward to receiving creative and innovative applications, which represent the social and cultural diversity of Berlin’s music scene. In the tendered programs, Musicboard focuses on promoting women* and BIPOC in pop culture, strengthening the LGBTQI+ scene and on the topics of accessibility and inclusion. Please note that applicants who wish for support in the barrier-free planning of their event can from now receive free advice on the topics of accessibility, inclusion and awareness in case of a positive jury decision.
