Wayne Snow

There’s an undeniable warmth to Wayne Snow’s music, one that combines a contemporary take on his homeland Nigeria with neo-soul, alternative pop, soultronica, and jazz. His musical heritage and upbringing listening to artists like Sade, King Sunny Ade, Marvin Gaye and Fela Kuti shines through, as does a deep love for Afrofuturism. A relocation to Berlin in 2013 gave Wayne Snow the space for this exploration as well as a renewed sense of purpose. Here began a string of releases that defined Snow as an intimate acoustic storyteller: from writing ›Under The Moon‹ and ›Red Runner‹ with Max Graef, releasing his first solo album on Tartelet Records, collaborating with renowned artist from the jazz and electronic scenes, to his most recent album ›Figurine‹. He became central to Berlin’s burgeoning future jazz / neo soul scene, where he met his current band members, and more recently set up the new project Moe Fabrik with drummer Ziggy Zeitgeist and keyboard/guitar virtuoso Styleboi_92.

Wayne Snow receives a grant of 7,000 euros in 2022 for the recording and production of an album.
