Started in 2015 by Berlin band Feline & Strange as a concert evening with sideshows and a costume-ball atmosphere, STEAM BALL increasingly evolved into a festival for steampunk, cyberpunk and darkwave with a focus on female and non-binary bandleaders and artists. Following the online ST(r)EAM BALL in 2020, the 2021 edition took place as two-day hybrid event with female-fronted acts such as Grausame Töchter, Lucina Soteira, Stimmgewalt, Feline & Strange and Das Fluff.
