This festival is all about the creative and content-related examination of the sound system as a cultural concept, offering visitors a participatory approach on the subject matter. The sound system is understood as a social space, and so Sound System Culture allowed players from the different genres and art forms of electronic music to unite and exchange ideas. Through a diverse programme of exhibitions, live performances, workshops and talks, Berliners and international artists began a dialogue with each other, prompting active participation in the event.
