In the heart of Berlin, right at Alexanderplatz, a new neighborhood is taking shape. The Chor der Statistik, initiated in 2019 by raumlaborberlin and Bernadette La Hengst, accompanies this participatory process of formation. The choir sings utopian songs about the future of the city, the climate crisis and a Europe for everyone. The project Eure Vision: Songs am Allesandersplatz has explored the neighborhoods surrounding the Haus der Statistik, inviting them to take part. Together, they exchanged information, shared their musical knowledge and furthered the acceptance of diversity, urban transformation and live music in public spaces.
