Today, music is mostly marketed on the internet. Streams and social media allow young musicians and bands to establish direct connections to fans, management, labels and booking agencies. Stephanie von Beauvais’ music-video workshop Shoot It Yourself provides up-and-coming acts with the necessary know-how for producing a music video. The workshop, which also serves as a networking platform for artists, covers all the necessary steps in the creation of a video: from brainstorming and budgeting to direction, image and lighting design, editing and post-production. In 2022, with the help of intensive workshops over the course of several days, five music video projects were successfully created, which celebrated their premiere at the Sputnik Kino on 30 August.
