Two singers play guitar and bass and a guy plays drums with varying success. They all play with fire until the house burns down! No nonsense, no fear of contact – just 100% pure energy, made in Berlin. They call their music »electric-guitar-electro-snotpop,« and it’s for dancing. With their »you know you want it« charm, turbulent battle vocals, and smart-snotty lyrics (sometimes in German, sometimes in English), the trio always promises energetic live action. The two frontladies not only take charge of the microphones and strings – they also write and produce the songs. After two albums and collaborations with Thies Neu (Abay, Pictures), Jens Güttes (Käptn Peng, Lemur), Thommy Hein (Q.O.T.S.A., Extrabreit), Michael Schwabe (Beatsteaks, Turbostaat), Sookee and Nachlader, SHIRLEY HOLMES are heading to the studio with the American producer Sylvia Massy (RHCP, Johnny Cash, Prince, Tool).
For 2018, SHIRLEY HOLMES are receiving a grant in the amount of 9,000 euros for the production of an EP.
