For five days, the Reclaim the Beats Festival presents a variety of music genres such as house, techno, rock and hip-hop in different locations in Berlin. The focus of the festival is on PoC and queer artists and producers. The aim is to counter the cis-white-male dominated music and media industry of these genres with a powerful voice. The festival programme includes performances by young, innovative PoC and queer artists as well as workshops, discussions and film screenings open to the public. In 2017, Kiddy Smile, Mandel Turner, Aérea Negrot, Cubop and R.A.N. were among the artists taking part.
