Poison Arrow

In her many artistic approaches, spanning experimental installations and photography to video and audio works, Natalia Escobar follows an ongoing interest in investigating streams of perception. Under various artistic guises, her work engages with the psychological dimensions of images and reflections, of appearance, radiance and physical presence, while provoking immersive moments of wonder and a haunting melancholy. While Natalia Escobar presents sculptural, live performance and video works that grow out of the collaboration with music producer Troy Pierce under the moniker Pierce with Arrow, under her real name, the musician releases personal art projects. The musical alter ego of the interdisciplinary artist is Poison Arrow, dedicated to concepts of sociological imagination and mysticism in the genre of Colombian Carrilera music. Overlaying her Colombian roots with a hypnotic, electronic interpretation thereof, Poison Arrow brings to life a dramatic, passionate and humorous mythology in a new form.

For 2020, Poison Arrow received a grant in the amount of 3,000 euros to develop her next project, a hybrid between album, documentary and music video.

In 2021, Poison Arrow is receiving a grant of 4,000 euros to realise her visual music project AWERA.
