The collectively run venue ausland founded the series pop im ausland (PIA) in 2015, dedicated to musical forms that lie between accessibility and experimentation. Current pop cultural trends as
well as subcultural directions, ranging from radical to danceable, are presented and highlighted. After a successful festival in 2021, PIA returned in 2022 as a concert series, offering a diverse, queer
and consciously genre-ignoring programme as events on distinct evenings. Participants included MIKI YUI, Teresa Riemann, The Shift and Nashi44.
