After moving to Berlin in 2010, Philipp Gorbachev befriended Rebolledo and Matias Aguayo, which set the wheels in motion for a series of debut releases on Cómeme, plus studio and remix collaborations with Daniel Maloso, Barnt, Danny Daze, Interchain, Inga Mauer and Nina Kraviz. Shows around the world and residency at Moscow’s legendary ARMA17 contextualise Philipp Gorbachev’s style in club culture. Playing a wide range of instruments, Philipp Gorbachev is a flamboyant performer who holds the mic, tunes the synth and beats the drum like no one else, would it be as a rave live/DJ act, full band frontman (Philipp Gorbachev & The Naked Man, DEKA with Obgon) or label curator, highlighting new music from Russia via his PG TUNE imprint.
In 2015 Philipp Gorbachev received a grant in the amount of 6,000 euros to produce and release a live impro album together with musicians and artists from Russia, the US, Romania, Italy and France.
For 2019, Philipp Gorbachev is receiving a grant in the amount of 4,000 euros to record an LP.
