NOA is an English-speaking singer with Filipino and African-American roots who’s active in the world of alt-pop. Her songs are musical paintings that deal with deep topics, such as personal demons, metaphorically depicting the constant struggle with oneself. Inspired by Sarah Kane, the newcomer’s lyrics are emotional with a dark twist. Distorted synths surrounded by heavy 808s underline NOA’s musings to form her own unique sound. With her debut EP ›THE DEVIL KNOWS MY NAME‹, NOA takes her listeners on a journey between heaven and hell – or possibly through her own idea of purgatory here on earth.
NOA receives a grant of 6,000 euros in 2023. In the course of the grant NOA receives coaching from Jovanka von Wilsdorf.
