junk-E-cat

junk-E-cat weaves acoustic and electronic elements into a sonic world where saxophones and bass clarinets – both arranged and solo – merge organically with electronic finger drumming, samples and loops. As a masked figure he performs in clubs and at festivals; as an »urban explorer« he explores remote industrial locations to perform his own beats and tracks in them. With the onset of the first lockdown in the summer of 2020, junk-E-cat found himself called to a not-so-unusual, new and grand mission: keeping live music alive in his adopted hometown of Berlin by performing guerrilla concerts from the rooftops for his audience, who listened and danced on their balconies and windows.

In 2021, junk-E-cat is receiving a grant of 4,000 euros for mixing, mastering and promoting an EP.
