Clubcommission Berlin

Made possible by funding from the European Regional Development Fund and co-financing from Musicboard, Berlin’s Club Commission offers event organisers and club owners a comprehensive, free advisory service on topics such as soundproofing, subsidies, GEMA, the KSK and permits. With the Awareness Academy, the Club Commission also aims to establish anti-discrimination measures within club culture. Offering various exchanges and further education, the Club Commission helps the nightlife industry and its communities shape a club culture that is as diverse and safe as possible. Through the Free Open Air Initiative, the association creates further opportunities for networking and transferring knowledge within the field of non-commercial, outdoor club culture. In 2021, the Club Commission teamed up with the Senate Department for Culture and Europe and employees of the university hospital Charité to launch the pilot project Clubculture Reboot, which tested how indoor clubbing might take place safely despite the pandemic.
