Christin Nichols

After the break-up of her band Prada Meinhoff, the German-British artist, singer and composer Christin Nichols pursued a solo project. Her debut album mixes influences from post-punk and wave with dark, wide-angle pop and intimate, chanson-like moments. »Kein Auto, keine Perspektive« (»No Car, No Prospects«) the musician sings with charm and irony over analogue guitar riffs, adding a lack of houses, love and sex appeal to her musical list. Christin Nichols takes her listeners on a journey to sore spots and, at the same time, for a drink at their favourite pub. With lyrics alternating between German and English, rugged guitars experiment with keyboards, live drums meet synthesised bass. One thing’s for certain: with Christin Nichols, solo doesn’t mean boring and certainly not alone.

In 2021, Christin Nichols receives a grant of 5,000 euros to help establish her solo career.
