After the break-up of her band Prada Meinhoff, Berlin artist, singer and composer Christin Nichols started a solo project. Her debut album mixes influences from pop, indie, post-punk and wave while always remaining accessible. »Kein Auto, keine Perspektive« (»No car, no perspective«), the musician sings over analogue guitar riffs, adding charming irony to a musical narrative about missing houses, love and sex appeal. Christin Nichols takes her listeners on a journey to wounded points and at the same time, to her favorite bar. Rough guitars experiment with synths that turn into real drums, the digital bass synth is doubled by the analogue one, the lyrics are German and English like the artist herself. In general, Christin Nichols has few rules but one: the only thing you can do is be yourself.
In 2021, Christin Nichols is receiving a grant of 5,000 euros to help establish her solo career.
