Ava Vegas

Ava Vegas spent most of her youth on Ibiza, living in a small house her parents had built. Influenced by the Spanish island’s techno clubs, she moved to the German capital – to study architecture, or so the plan went. Today, Ava Vegas carries the title of a Nico song in her name and prefers to design her buildings in her songs. Through singing, piano, ballet and acting lessons, Ava Vegas was well prepared to find the right setting for her ideas in music. And yet she was searching for a long time for the true translation of her visions, working with Johannes Weber of Jungstötter, Sin Maldita‘s Tim Roth, Drangal’s Max Gruber and Tom Hessler of Fotos. Art pop, the kind that doesn’t really happen in Germany, no big effects, lots of romance and melancholy, a balladesque, dystopian pathos – that’s how Ava Vegas sounds, momentarily wrapping the world in a transitional, dreamlike state.

In 2021, Ava Vegas is receiving a grant of 4,000 euros to work on her live performance.
