diveRcity has been enabling adolescents to express themselves through active participation in culture for over a decade. Be it a concert, jam session, graffiti battle, skate and BMX contest or open-air techno party, diveRcity helps countless young people to finance and realise their ideas for events and to find fellow participants for their initiatives. In 2021, the non-profit, officially recognised voluntary youth welfare organisation Roter Baum has held four diveRcity events in connection with Respekt und Neugier Festival. Am Rande der Stadt – Open Air Kultur am Stadtrand has offered a programme of live music and workshops, where social issues have met creative opportunities aimed at promoting activism and solidarity within the community.
