diveRcity

For about ten years, diveRcity has been enabling young people to enjoy themselves and their cultures. Whether with a concert, jam session, graffiti battle, skating and BMX contest or techno open-air party, every year diveRcity helps numerous teens and young adults to realise and finance their concepts for events and to find comrades-in-arms. In 2020, with the help of Musicboard and funding initiative Stark Gemacht!, diveRcity reached beyond the boundaries of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf borough for the first time, becoming active throughout the city. The intended events have been implemented in newly devised ways that conform to Covid-19 regulations. In addition to curating a stage at the Respekt und Neugier Festival – where Datenschutz, Chris Strosch, Antonella and other acts performed – two of the project‘s events were redeveloped as live streams with artists such as Lukas Meden, j-hole and XRAY.
