Fascinated by Berlin and its possibilities, Anaïs Tuerlinck found the perfect playground for her freely improvised music, noise and performances of all genres. She developed a fondness for »extended techniques and free improvisation on the grand piano as a young child. Her focus is on connecting sonic textures and the intensity of moments with which she attempts to push the instrument’s boundaries further and further.
For 2019, Anaïs Tuerlinckx is receiving a grant in the amount of 5,000 euros, which she plans to put towards the realisation of her debut album.
