Since its debut in May 2014, the XJAZZ Festival has quickly established itself as an important alternative Berlin festival that skillfully looks beyond stylistic boundaries and promotes the crossover of electronic, pop, neoclassical and jazz. It integrates existing structures and spaces, bringing together musicians to develop and present collaborative performances – from improvised electronics to classical lineups to experimental singer-songwriters. The festival aims to present jazz as a constantly evolving genre with influences from many other musical genres, with a primary focus on the Berlin music scene. In 2019, the XJAZZ Festival celebrated its 6th year of existence. Robert Lippok, Kathrin Pechlof, Henrik Schwarz and the Alma Quartet were among the performing artists.
