Vamp Acid is a live acid dance producer, dark electro DJ and designer. Peppered with 80s analogue beats, her music combines sensual vocals with sharp synth sounds and a post-punk energy. Vamp Acid learned her craft from EBM pioneers Nitzer Ebb, whom the California-born musician became aware of through various breakcore and techno DJs at the Colombian underground rave Bogotrax. As a female-identifying musician at the intersection of acid techno and goth, Vamp Acid remains one of the minorities in her genre. Releases like ›Do You Even Acid?‹ by the Canadian label OBSKUR MUSIC try to counteract this. Alongside Vamp Acid’s dark and racy single ›Erotic Discipline‹, the compilation brings together and networks other female, queer, non-binary and POC producers from the scene. Vamp Acid sees her music as an act of empowerment and equality.
In 2021, Vamp Acid is receiving a grant of 4,000 euros to work on a new release.
