In order to present newcomers from Germany in an international context, Musicboard Berlin has been involved in The Great Escape Festival as one of the most important English music festivals for new acts and trends since 2017.
In 2023, the Musicboard together with popNRW, RockCity Hamburg, Verband für Popkultur in Bayern, and Initiative Musik once again invites to Brighton for the Zeitgeist – New German Talent Showcase & Reception on Friday, 12 May 2023, at 11:30 a.m.
Presented at this year’s edition of the showcase are four up-and-coming German pop acts: Becky Sikasa, MOON MATES, Rauchen, and Albertine Sarges will all play sets at the Zeitgeist Showcase and will also perform a second time in the core programme of the festival. Albertine Sarges, who presented »For AntiqueRose_91«, a Gig Theatre co-production between Komische Oper Berlin and Musicboard Berlin at Schall & Rausch Festival earlier this year, will perform a second show at Patterns Downstairs on Saturday, 13 May 2023, at 3:30 p.m.
The Zeitgeist Showcase starts on 12 May 2023 at 12:15 p.m. and is open for all festival ticket holders and delegates. Additionally, as part of Zeitgeist, festival delegates are invited to attend a joint networking reception from 11:30 a.m.
