In order to present newcomers from Germany in an international context, the Musicboard has been involved in The Great Escape Festival as one of the most important English music festivals for new acts and trends since 2017.
After a pandemic, digital festival edition in 2021, the Musicboard is more than happy to once again invite to Brighton for the Zeitgeist – Reception & New German Talent Showcase on May 13, 2022 together with its partners RockCity Hamburg, VPBy – Verband für Popkultur in Bayern e.V. and Pop NRW – Nachwuchsförderung für junge Musiker in NRW.
Presented at this year’s edition of the showcase are four up-and-coming German pop acts: John Moods from Berlin, [LEAK] from Bavaria, FLØRE from NRW and Roller Derby from Hamburg. All four acts are also featured in the main programme of The Great Escape. John Moods, who was nominated for the Zeitgeist Showcase as a Musicboard Alumni, will perform a second show on May 14 at 11 p.m. at The Prince Albert in addition to the Zeitgeist show on May 13.
As part of Zeitgeist, festival delegates are invited to attend a joint networking reception.
