Inspired by hardcore sounds of the past plus the cutting-edge footwork, breakbeat and jungle that her label champions, Souci cultivates an ever-evolving style. Having grown up in Berlin as an immigrant, she has a unique perspective and an uncompromising work ethic that translates to the studio and the DJ booth. After starting her DJ career in 2019, she promptly made appearances at CTM Festival, Drugstore Belgrade and Institut für Zukunft, showing a rate of progression that matches the intense pace of her music.
As co-founder of Raiders Records, Souci has overseen releases and raves alike, while refusing to ignore the political aspect of dance music culture and always endeavouring to highlight femme artists in her work. With releases on her own label and Jensen Interceptor’s International Chrome, plus more on the way, it’s clear Souci is not slowing down any time soon.
Souci is awarded the Tandem Residency Detroit / Berlin in 2022, which she will take up together with Detroit artist Augustus Williams in 2023.
