With their neo-R&B, Soft Drug release a world of feelings that otherwise lies dormant in the band members, rarely getting the chance to surface. As a necessary output for identity crises, the longing for security and the arduous liberation from toxic masculinity, Soft Drug write both songs of a wadded-up tenderness as well as tracks that seem so splintery and shaky that the band seemingly must have mixed them with electricity and water. In 2021, Soft Drug (project name at the time of application: Wyoming) are receiving a grant of 4,000 euros for online promotion and social media marketing of the band’s planned releases.
