Launched in 2019, Selected focusses on hip-hop outside of the mainstream, standing against violence and discrimination and taking place in a relaxed and respectful atmosphere. The event series aims to show different facets of Berlin’s hip-hop scene and to support local DJs, collectives, rappers, newcomers and other players in the scene. Following three club events in 2019, two open-air events could be held in the beer garden of Festsaal Kreuzberg in 2020, hosted by Turntable Tutorial and BeatGeeks, and organised in conformance with Corona restrictions. The stage featured acts such as Amewu, DJ Werd and Lenki Balboa.
