With funky bass and minimalist ballads, with 2000s R&B and hip-hop vibes, with a multi-faceted voice and multi-layered harmonies, RIIVA is uncompromisingly captivating. Her debut EP ›Bold Femininity‹, released in 2020, proved her skills, playing with transitions of hip-hop arrangements and mysterious, orchestral elements. Her songs relate past fears, desires and experiences with great immediacy, allowing her listeners to become part of her musical self-healing. The result is a dangerously thrilling mixture of provocative femininity and fantasy, but without representing the stereotypical image of the rebel. RIIVA is strong, brave and self-confident despite an ever-present touch of melancholy.
In 2021, RIIVA is receiving a grant of 4,000 euros to work on an EP trilogy as well as a live set-up for an upcoming tour.
