Berlin-based jazz pianist and composer Ramiro Zayas has been active on the scene for several years, combining his understanding of modal jazz with free improvisation and Argentinian traditions in his music. Among his output, his debut album as a leader with ›Rio Rio Interior‹ (2019) stands out in particular, showing a sophisticated exploration of harmony and solid skills as a composer. His main interest is discovering the connection between emotions and music, something he tries to apply both in his own project and in his works with large ensembles and big bands.
