Post Neo: That’s the experimental electronic pop music duo of Nicole Luján and Pauline Weh, based in Mexico City and Berlin. Post Neo’s tracks are carried by keyboards, synthesisers, drum machines and their voices. Their style oscillates between technoid beats and 90s avant-garde and trip-hop bands, conveying a certain melancholy. »I found some sense/ in the nonsense«: Post Neo’s lyrics reflect moments of opposition that come with introspection. The duo also pursue the exploration of sensitivities, moods and energies that oppose the neoliberal psychogram: »Wir warten gerne/ wir haben Zeit« (»We like to wait / We have time«). The reflection on existential themes, however, is always mixed with humour, irony and lightness.
Post Neo receive one of the two domestic residencies at Sternhagen Gut in the Uckermark region in 2022. During their residency, they realise the production of their second, multilingual EP.
