Pari San

With Pari San, two worlds collide. There’s the Berlin-based microsystems engineer Paul Brenning, who grew up with classical music and produces electronic synth music with a clear mind. And there’s the Iranian-born, Düsseldorf-raised Parissa Eskandari, who takes an intuitive, emotional approach to music and has a voice that floats between Persian and Scandinavian influences. As a duo, they walk a fine line generated by Black Forest/Tehran backgrounds between pop songwriting, electronic music production, and supernatural sound. Iranian flair meets Berlin, rationality meets temperament, control meets impulse, and a love of experimentation meets emotionality. These juxtapositions define Pari San as a surprising meshwork, a parallel universe made of voices, melodies, loops, beats, and sounds. It’s at once avant-garde and left-field, sensual and magical, somewhere between Fever Ray, FKA Twigs, and Björk. (Source: beats international)

For 2018, Pari San is receiving a grant in the amount of 8,000 euros to launch their planned tour and release an album.
