From songwriting to the visual counterpart of her music: everything about the work of singer-songwriter and producer Mulay is aesthetic art, forming a counterpart to the speed of our fleeting present. Mulay wants to make music that lasts. Artists like FKA Twigs, SZA and Sevdaliza are the source of her inspiration, having confidently gone their own ways with their art and careers. Sound textures, imagery, emotions and grooves from a wide musical spectrum cross-polinate and merge into a kaleidoscopic downtempo sound at the intersection of soulful R&B, trip-hop, pop and electronica. After her collaborations with Moglii and Tender Games offered a taste of her vocal prowess, the artist released her debut EP ›ANTRACYTE‹ in January 2021.
In 2021, Mulay is receiving a grant of 7,000 euros for the production of her second EP.
