MOLM Museum of Live Music understands live-music culture as part of a worldwide cultural identity. Within a two-day exhibition in August 2020 in Berlin’s Haus der Statistik, Museum of Live Music humorously commemorates this remarkable cross-cultural form of entertainment with audiovisual works, installations and mini-shows. It not only recalls bizarre anecdotes and impressive moments of a live concert history – it also imagines what would happen with the permanent disappearance of live music from venues, clubs, festival programmes and everyday cultural life. The exhibition spaces were filled with Berlin artists and musicians, while artists such as Gemma Ray, Eddie Argos, Francesco Wilking or Kiing Khan performed live outside the building’s entrance.
