Barcelona-born Laura Elle describes herself as a »fat queer singer-songwriter«. Intimate and introspective, her music revolves around soulful vocals that form the centre of her art. Influenced by artists such as Charlotte Day Wilson, Senra and Biig Piig, Laura Elle offers a sound world that oscillates between R&B, pop and jazz, providing a protective shell for describing and processing experiences of mental health, love, life and death. With her music, Laura Elle calms, soothes and purifies, showing exuberant empathy and vulnerability while also standing up for herself, for women and for other genders: for her and their beautiful and non-normative bodies as well as for their non-binary gender identities.
In 2021, Laura Elle is receiving a grant of 5,000 euros for the mixing and mastering of new song material and its marketing.
