Kultur & Straße (Culture & Street) is a one-day festival for and with homeless people. The shared experience of culture creates an inclusive meeting point with music, workshops, entertainment, and, of course, nourishment for the body and soul. The targeted participation of homeless people at a cultural event enables people to meet outside their everyday lives, raise awareness, and gain visibility. This is because many people are often denied access to public events due to prejudice, shame, and marginalisation. Kultur & Straße facilitates encounters on equal terms, finds common ground, and creates solidarity. The festival also offers low-threshold help, and the proceeds go towards organisations working in the field of homelessness. Among the performers in 2023 are Der Wankende Wolf, Käthe, Maryibou, and Schubi Straßenfeger.
