»Sisterhood, das sind wir!« (»Sisterhood, that‘s us!«) is a line from one of the many new rap songs on the label Sisterqueens, which focusses on solidarity, friendship and the right to rap in a largely male-dominated domain. The Sisterqueens label was launched in 2018 by ongoing project as a platform for young female* rappers in Berlin-Wedding, in close cooperation MÄDEA/Stiftung SPI, an intercultural center for girls* and young women*. Its aim is to strengthen girls‘ self-confidence and sense of justice, help them test out rap as a form of artistic expression and let them voice their perspectives onstage. For Kollabo – Das Konzert, the crew from MÄDEA created a collaborative concert with Berlin rappers Haszcara, Alice D. and Laila A.
