KEØMA

KEØMA was founded by Chris Klopfer and Kat Frankie. Based in Berlin, the duo’s self-titled debut album was released in January 2016 on Embassy of Music. With casio keys, beats, guitars and vocals laden with reverb, their spherical pop music is inspired by films and open landscapes. While both musicians contribute ideas to the project, Chris is mostly responsible for the songwriting while Kat produces and records. The singles ›Black‹ and ›Protected‹ both have scored over half a million plays on Spotify. 2016 was a busy year for KEØMA: their first headline tour included two sold out shows in Berlin. Festivals such as Reeperbahn Festival and Pop-Kultur followed. The year culminated in the band being invited to support Bosse for one week in November as part of his ›Engtanz Tour‹. The pair is now back in the studio, working on their second album.

For 2017, KEØMA is receiving a grant in the amount of 6,000 euros to cover for the studio rental costs.
