Invitation: Online Session – Accessible Cultural Events

Thursday, October 7, 2021 | 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. | Online via Zoom

Inclusive participation in pop culture is one of Musicboard’s main objectives. In order to pursue this goal, Musicboard in cooperation with experts regularly offers qualification programmes that train funding recipients and other interested parties. Together with Berlinklusion, Berlin’s network for accessibility in art and culture, Musicboard is thus inviting to a Zoom online session (in German) on the accessibility of cultural events on October 7, 2021.

What does accessibility mean in the planning and implementation of cultural events? What is the difference between accessibility and inclusion? In addition to legal aspects, the online session will provide an overview of accessibility in the areas of communication and facilities. It is primarily intended to offer impulses to project organisers who intend to apply for Musicboard’s project funding and help them develop their project ideas with regard to the Musicboard’s funding regulations. Further interested Berlin-based promoters are welcome to participate.

Participants are not expected to have any special prior knowledge. Participation is free of charge. The capacity of the workshop is limited.

Specific questions can be considered in the session’s design. Please send them to us together with your workshop registration to: thalia.hertel@musicboard.berlin.de. The Zoom link will be provided after registration.

The online session will be held in German spoken language. The event can be translated into German Sign Language (DGS). Please send us a short feedback by September 30, 2021 if this is desired. If you have any further questions and needs, please feel free to contact us.

Further information about the event can be found in the respective Facebook Event.
