Since 2019, Das Rattenkabinett have been playing in a new constellation with a new sound: female-fronted and more experimental than ever. Live hip-hop from Berlin that likes bringing up painful social subjects, with aggressive to melancholic confrontations. The band’s songs are created between the doorstep and the bus stop, clouds of smoke, computer production and jamming in the rehearsal room. Influences from different musical directions create a powerful mix of psychedelic-rock riffs, driving jungle beats and study, bass-heavy hip-hop – never losing sight of live playability.
In 2021, Das Rattenkabinett are receiving a grant of 4,000 euros to record, mix and master an LP.
