From Lichtenberg over the ether: Cashmere Radio is an experimental, not-for-profit community radio station being on the point of preserving while furthering radio and broadcasting practices. In 2017, the broadcasting station is giving the opportunity of a radio residency (Cashmere Production Residency) for Berlin-based musicians in order to support new musical productions tackling specifically the media that is radio. The projects will be realized in collaboration with Jean-Boris Szymczak (Studio P4), who acts in an advisory capacity to the artists and the results will be presented in special radio shows. Presenting some background information about the projects by the residents, every special show will be accompanied by live-broadcasted network event.
