Call for Concepts: 2nd Funding Round 2023

Musicboard Berlin is pleased to announce that the application forms for the second funding round of the programmes Karrieresprungbrett Berlin and Pop im Kiez for the 2023 funding year have been opened.

Up until the application deadline on April 1, 2023 at 6 p.m., projects and platforms that support up-and-coming talent through a series of concerts, workshops or interdisciplinary formats in order to facilitate significant leaps towards a professional, national and international career can apply for the programme Karrieresprungbrett Berlin. The Pop im Kiez funding programme is aimed at projects – whether pilots, campaigns or a series of initiatives – that make a contribution towards the acceptance of live pop music in a particular Berlin neighbourhood.

We are looking forward to receiving creative and innovative applications, which represent the social and cultural diversity of Berlin’s music scene. Musicboard places great importance on the funding of projects with plural perspectives, that implement gender-balanced and diverse line-ups as well as accessibility policies.

Once again, Musicboard will enable selected projects to receive advice on the topics of accessibility and inclusion from experts. Applicants who wish to receive such support can register this need directly in the application form in order to be selected for consultation.

Applicants can find out about possible accessibility measures before submitting their application at a digital information event on the topic of accessible event planning and community management. The two-hour online session is organized by the Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern and will take place on 7 March 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in German and at 6:00 p.m. in English. Detailed information about the event can be found here.

To answer questions about the current call for applications in the programs Pop im Kiez and Karrieresprungbrett Berlin, we offer an Online Infocall on March 9, 2023 at 16:00. The Infocall will be conducted in German and/or English as needed. In addition to information on how to apply via the Musicboard’s digital application system, the call also takes a look at what it means to run a funded project. Participation is possible without registration via Zoom using this link. Further information can be found in the corresponding Facebook event.

When submitting your application, please note the application modalities in the digital application system and only submit your cost statement through the updated application tool. Please note: Since 2022, all funding applications to the Musicboard Berlin must be submitted by 6 p.m.
