The AYO City Festival, launched by the artist collective Freak de l’Afrique, aims to provide a platform for BPOC artists and their communities, making their cultural diversity tangible. Its interdisciplinary programme focusses on different styles of popular music and contemporary art from the African continent and its diaspora. The third edition of the festival takes place in July 2023. Concerts, DJ sets, dance sessions and other features such as a children’s programme and live painting draw numerous visitors to Haubentaucher. The line-up includes Ayzon, Bloomfeld, Filar, Baby Joy, Fayim, K.ZIA, and DJ Nomi, among others.
