Musicboard is pleased to announce the awarding of six additional scholarships. The six scholarships are awarded to musicians and bands who applied for a scholarship in 2021 and were recommended for the successor list. Funding is provided to pop musicians and bands who live and work in Berlin.
In 2021, the following artists are being granted a 4.000,00 euro scholarship:
Badger ⎮ Danielle Arielli ⎮ Dino Joubert ⎮ Elsa M’bala/AMET ⎮ Nik Dandelion ⎮ Us, from Damascus to Berlin
The scholarships were recommended by an independent jury – the same jury that has also been responsible for the Scholarships & Residencies programme since the 2020 funding year. It consists of Sarah Farina (DJ, producer), Julia Lorenz (music journalist, author), Pamela Owusu-Brenyah (A&R, music consultant and curator Pop-Kultur Festival), Elia Rediger (musician, curator of the series ›Aus dem Hinterhalt‹, Deutsche Oper Berlin) and Katja Lucker (Managing Director Musicboard Berlin GmbH).
Further information on the scholarship holders in 2021 will be available here soon.
