A Song For You – Songwriting and collaboration workshops

A Song For You is a vocal ensemble project of 30–40 people spotlighting BiPOC and diverse talent from the varying live music scenes of Berlin, and amplifies the city’s thriving soul music scene. After the success of a recording residency in 2022, the group and the project grew. In 2023, five songwriting and collaboration workshops make the vocal ensemble collaborate with high-profile songwriters, dance companies, and another community-based music group. Upon the completion of the workshops, and regular rehearsals, songwriting sessions, and recording phases, the group performs the outcome at an end-of-year event in a theatre space, with attendance of the guest artists and dance company.
