Isolation Berlin

Founded in 2012 by singer Tobias Bamborschke and guitarist Max Bauer, Isolation Berlin is a German-language indie band. Their lineup since 2013 includes Simeon Cöster on drums and David Specht on bass. With influences ranging from post-punk, psychedelic, Neue Deutsche Welle, Brit-pop, chanson and 90s indie-rock, the band has dubbed the genre of their music as »proto-pop«. Isolation Berlin have released three EPs (›Aquarium‹, ›Körper‹, ›Ich gehör nur mir allein‹), two albums (›Und aus den Wolken tropft die Zeit‹, ›Vergifte Dich‹) and a double-A 7” single (›Annabelle/Swantje‹). Over the years, they’ve toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland extensively and have appeared at international festivals. Beyond that, they’ve aligned with the Goethe-Institut to give concerts and workshops in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Russia, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines.

In 2015 Isolation Berlin received a grant in the amount of 10,000 euros to produce their first album.

For 2019, Isolation Berlin are receiving a grant in the amount of 10,000 euros to to realise their third album.
