About the Goethe-Institut
The Goethe Institut is the internationally active cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany. It promotes knowledge of the German language abroad and fosters international cultural collaborations.

Special Information
The residency in Tehran is designed to be very open. Each stay is oriented around and shaped by the individual needs of the year’s resident. In the past, Musicboard residents have, for example, played concerts, collected material for future productions, and worked together with local musicians. The Musicboard resident should be prepared to demonstrate a good deal of initiative in designing their stay and creating personal contacts.
Note: depending on your nationality, there may be a time limit on the maximum length of stay in Iran as determined by the Iranian authorities. Applicants are advised to inform themselves in advance about the entry requirements.

Musicboard’s Contributions
Musicboard covers all of the costs associated with the stay. This includes round-trip travel costs as well as food, accommodation, working/rehearsal space, and project-related costs when applicable.
