Susan Augustt, a talented singer-songwriter from Accra, that expertly blends neo afro-soul and contemporary jazz with traditional Ghanaian music genres such as highlife, agbadza, and kpanlogo. Through her performances at prominent events like Afrofest Toronto and Ahaban Charity Festival,Sofar Sounds Ghana as well as her involvement in creative residencies such as BlackGirlsGlow & One Beat Ghana and engaging workshops, including her ›Own that Stage‹ live performance workshop, Susan Augustt demonstrates her dedication to empowering emerging female artists in Ghana. Beyond that she has collaborated with numerous impact-focused organizations and contributed to initiatives like the ›Periods of Change‹ project by Future Stars Charity.
Susan Augustt is awarded the 2024 co-creation residency in Berlin, Germany and Accra, Ghana, under which she collaborates with Berlin-based Dumama.
