Online Session: Accessible Event Planning

Tuesday, October 4, 2022 | 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. | Online via Zoom

Inclusive participation in pop culture is one of Musicboard’s main objectives. In order to pursue this goal, Musicboard in cooperation with experts regularly offers qualification programmes that train funding recipients and other interested parties. Together with Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern, Musicboard is inviting to an online session on Accessible Event Planning & Inclusive Project Management on October 4, 2022.

The Initiative Barrierefrei Feiern is a collective of people with and without disabilities that is specialised in developing inclusive cultural strategies.

In the workshop Accessible Event Planning & Inclusive Project Management, the initiative’s experts give practical examples of how to make cultural projects accessible for people with disabilities on, in front of and behind the stage. When exactly can an event be considered accessible? Which measures are eligible for funding? How much do accessibility measures cost? How do we reach disabled people with our project? Participants are invited to ask these and other questions in an open Q&A session. Together with the experts, they can further develop their inclusive project idea for their funding application.

The online session is primarily addressed to project organisers who intend to apply for Musicboard’s project funding. Further interested Berlin-based promoters are welcome to participate. Participation is free of charge.

The event is held in English spoken language, a German version of the event is taking place on October 4, 2022 at 3 p.m.
