In compositional practice, Izzy Ment sketches music in an almost childlike manner. Raw material emerges through Izzy’s immersive playing and assembling, serving as a catalyst for moments of spontaneous harmonic magic. Izzy’s live performances, both solo and in ensembles, reflect Izzy’s love for combining vintage Japanese guitars and warm pianos with synthetic instruments and electronic effects experiments. In addition to work as a core band member with Alli Neumann, Garagen Uwe, Stella Sommer, and Fee Aviv, Izzy Ment is also active as a session musician, producer, and voice artist for visual art exhibitions, dubbing, and advertising.
In 2024, Izzy Ment receives a Musicboard scholarship of 4,500 euros to work on demos and songwriting.
