Allocation of Funding: Support Tour Funding – 1st half of 2025

In the first half of 2025, Musicboard Berlin awards a total of approximately 30,000 euros for support tour projects of Berlin bands and artists. Applications for the Support Tour Funding programme are reviewed on a rolling basis and can be submitted until 30 November 2025.

Musicboard’s Support Tour Funding programme supports up-and-coming Berlin pop musicians in their plans to go on national or international tour with a more established act. To be on tour with a headlining act for a longer period, generally exceeds the financial budget of younger bands. This is where the Support Tour Funding comes in, enabling the support act to expand its audience and gain live experiences. The funding is awarded as a purpose-specific scholarship.

The funding is awarded upon recommendation of an independent jury of Berlin-based pop experts. In 2025, the jury appointed to the Support Tour Funding programme consists of Anna Groß (artist and event manager, label operator SPRINGSTOFF GmbH), Donata Kramarz (singer, songwriter, and producer), and Ralf Diemert (founder and managing director of the booking agency von der haardt). From January to March, the jury was supported by former jury member Sebastian Hoffmann (programme organiser, consultant for touring artists).

14 SUPPORT TOUR PROJECTS RECEIVE A TOTAL OF 29.336,14 EUROS

In the first half of the year 2025, the jury received 30 formally valid applications with a total volume of 86.670,75 euros for the Support Tour Funding programme. Of these, 14 tour projects received a total funding amount of 29,336.14 euros:

Applications for Support Tour Funding are reviewed on a rolling basis. In 2025, applications can be submitted up to and including 30 November, 6 p.m., subject to the availability of funds.
